A THANK YOU TO OUR HEROES

Saturday, August 9th after the 4pm Mass, come to the gym for light refreshments and a chance to hear from Max Ciampoli and Linda Ciampoli, authors of the extraordinary National Bestseller “Churchill’s Secret Agent.” After France lost the war in 1940, Max went to England where he was sent to spy school by Prime Minister Winston Churchill. From 1940 until 1944, Max was Churchill’s personal spy and stayed at his country estate between missions. Max was dropped in Europe usually by parachute dozens of times for dangerous missions behind enemy lines. Order your books well ahead of time at Sundance Bookstore, Barnes & Noble or online at Amazon.com. Bring them with you, and Max and Linda will be happy to autograph them at the event. (Even order a few extra. I’ve found they make great gifts. M.M.) We will give thanks to our heroes, our veterans and current members of our armed forces. Donations will be accepted and given to Honor Flight in Reno to help take another World War II Veteran to Washington DC. There will be representation from Honor Flight to explain the program.

We will also have Donald Whomes who, with his daughter Lisa Merrill (member of
St. Albert's), will be sharing what it was like to be on a ship that was attacked in the
Pacific during World War II and what it was like for him to go on the Honor Flight to
Washington DC.
